Heart
Shrine Relics Exhibition Phoenix 2002
Under the direction of Ven. ZaChoeje Rinpoche, Emaho Foundation
hosted the Maitreya Project's Heart Shrine Relics Exhibition
from October 14-16, 2002 at Unity of Phoenix. For all of us
at Emaho, it was an unforgettable event. More than 2,000 people
attended to view the relics and receive blessings and teachings
from Rinpoche.
The relics are the sacred remains of masters who have attained extraordinary spiritual realizations during their lifetime. Due to the purity of the spiritual master's mind, small, crystalline, pearl-like deposits called ringsel appear within their ashes when the body is cremated. Buddhists believe the relics carry the essence of the realizations of the masters, and therefore, every person who views them receives immeasurable blessings and helps create compassion, tolerance and peace in the world.
